The Facts

Jose Luis Sanchez (dba Jose Sanchez Boots) grew up in El Paso, Texas and established boot shops on both sides of the Mexican border. He graduated from Texas Western College (presently the University of Texas at El Paso-UTEP) in 1963 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a minor in English Literature. 

Jose L. Sanchez is a third generation boot maker and still remembers the practical experience as a youngster in his father's boot shop when he was in grade school. 

At an early age Jose worked in his father's shoe repair and boot making shop and later on, while in school, developed a boot mail order business which he named Champion Boot Company. Together with his wife Norma, they specialized in making top grade quality buckaroo boots for the working cowboy. Today the business is known as Jose Sanchez Boots.

All Jose Sanchez boots are made in El Paso, Texas USA; Jose has been making boots for 61 years and has worked as production manager for Justin Boots Co., and Acme-Dan Post boots. He has also done contract work for Tony Lama, Bowman Wilson Boot Co., Cowtown Boots, Mustang Boots, and other entities throughout the years.
